LITURGICAL/WORSHIP MINISTRIES

Altar Server
Boys and girls from Grade 4 and up assist the priest in the celebration of Mass and other liturgical services. Must have received First Eucharist. Training is provided. For more information, please contact Parish Office: 872-4099

Altar Society
This group volunteers to pick up the soiled altar linens, launder them and return them to the sacristy. Periodically they clean the sanctuary and other areas of the church. 

Eucharistic Minister
These men and women assist in distribuiting the sacred Body and Blood of Christ during liturgical celebrations. They may also be requested to take Eucharist to the sick and homebound. They must be approved by the pastor and be certified in this diocese or another. Training will be provided. For more information, please contact Parish Office: 872-4099

First Friday Adoration
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is provided every First Friday. Adoration commences at the end of the 8:30 am Mass and continues until 4:45pm when Divine Mercy Hour and Benediction is held. There must be someone in attendance at all times that the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. The sign-up book is in the Narthex if you are interested. Gift Bearer
Individuals or families to carry up the hosts, wine and donations to the altar during Mass. For more information, please contact Parish Office: 872-4099

Lector
These men and women proclaim the word of God from the scriptures during liturgical functions and read the prayers of the fathful. They must be approved by the pastor and be certified by having been instructed in the ministry either in this diocese or another. Usher
These men and women greet parishioners and guests participating in liturgical service, help with seating, provide directions and assistance, distribute the offertory baskets, and pass out bulletins. They further assist gift bearers or bring the collection to the altar at the appropriate times. For more information, please contact Parish Office: 872-4099

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION MINISTRIES

Adult Education Facilitator
Leads a group in discussion or reflection. For more information, please contact Lisa Schmidt: 475-9269.

Catechist/Aide Preschool
Teacher/Aide for preschool (Sundays 9:45 - 10:45am). For more information, please contact Debbie Breckenridge: 359-7063.

Catechist/Aide Elementary
Teacher/Aide for Grades K-5 (Sundays 9:45 - 10:45am). For more information, please contact Debbie Breckenridge: 359-7063.

Catechist/Aide Junior High or High School
Teacher/Aide for Grades 6-8 (Sundays 9:45 - 10:45am) or Grades 9-12. For more information, please contact the Parish Office: 872-4099.

Catechist Substitute
Teach class when regular teacher is away. For more information, please contact Debbie Breckenridge: 359-7063.

Library
Assist with the continued development and maintenance of the library in the Family Life Center. The library is for parishioner's use. For more information, please contact Lisa Schmidt: 475-9269.

PRE Office Volunteer
Help out in the PRE Office with various office duties. For more information, please contact Debbie Breckenridge: 359-7063.

Rite of Christian Iniation of Adults
A process by which Christians from other denominations and those that are non-Christian can be incorporated into the Roman Catholic tradition through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. For more information, please contact Lisa Schmidt: 475-9269.

Sacramental Catechist
Teacher for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. For more information, please contact Debbie Breckenridge:  359-7063.

Youth Minister
Helps with Youth Group meetings and activities.

OUTREACH AND SOCIAL MINISTRIES

Bereavement Ministry
A six (6) week bereavement program designed to help those who are going through the grief process. For more information, please contact Shirley Maes: 647-6111.

Ministry to the Sick
We bring a caring presence to those who are homebound, sick, or hospitalized. We also bring the Eucharist to those who, because of age or illness, are unable to attend Mass. Must be an extraordinary minister of Eucharist to take Holy Communion. Training is provided through the Diocese. For more information, please contact Josie Austin: 848-5881.

Newcomers
Sponsor a family or an individual new to the Parish. Introduce them around, make them aware of church activities and encourage their participation in these activites. For more information, please contact Shirley Maes: 647-6111.

PARISH HELP

Flowers and Decorating for Special Occasions - Arranges and cares for floral decorations during the special seasons such as Easter (Holy Saturday through Pentecost Sunday), and Christmas (setup December 23rd or 24th and the two weeks following Christmas).

Grounds Maintenance - Although grass cutting and basic yard maintenance is contracted, there is always a need for sprucing up shrubs, trees, and flower beds around the property. You may also adopt a flower bed or even start a new one! For more information, please contact the Parish Office: 872-4099.

Minor Repairs/Maintenance - Are you handy with tools? Your help is needed in the many areas of repair in the Church, school building and grounds. Light bulbs go out, toilets and drains clog, door locks break, etc.. For more information, please contact the Parish Office: 872-4099.

Office - Help is often needed to fold bulletins/handouts and the William Tell, count money, answer phones in the absence of the secretary, and the myriad of things that come up in an office. For more information, please contact the Parish Office: 872-4099.

Art Work/Calligraphy - Skill in preparing certificates, acknowledgments of work accomplished, etc. for PRE and other Parish functions. For more information, please contact the Parish Office: 872-4099.

Newsletter - The William Tell publicizes the good news of our Parish. Reporting, preparing for print, and folding for distribution are some of the functions. For more information, please contact Velda Dedeaux:  596-2929.

Publicity - Do you have a "way with words"? You can help publicize news and events of your parish organization in the William Tell by becoming the publicity person for that organization. For more informatioin, please contact the Parish Office: 872-4099.

Pennies from Heaven
All monies collected for Pennies from Heaven (container is in the Narthex) go to support a parish in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.

RCIA Sponsor/Catechist
RCIA is an educational process designed to keep Catholics up to date with the teachings of the Church and for the conversion of non-Catholics to Catholicism. For more information, please contact Lisa Schmidt: 475-9269.

Share Sunday
On the second weekend of each month we collect canned foods, personal hygiene products, ladies and children's underwear and sleepwear, drinks such as juice boxes and fresh bananas which help homeless women and children served by the Missionary Sisters of Charity (Mother Teresa's Order). Please place items in baskets in the Narthex.

Transportation for the Homebound
Provide transportation to Mass, the doctor's office, shopping, etc., as needed. For more information, please contact the Parish Office: 872-4099.

Prayer Chain
Whenever parishioners need prayers for themselves or their loved ones, the Prayer Chain is called upon for that special intention. You pray in your own way and contact the next person in the chain.
